Resolve to Live Consciously: Staying Connected from the Inside/Out

Staying Connected from the Inside/Out

We use the word consciousness often, but do we know its real meaning, and can we learn to be more attuned with our consciousness?

Let's check the real definition of the word consciousness. Based on the Merriam-Webster dictionary, consciousness is defined-as the state of being characterized by sensation, emotion, volition, and thought. My favorite teacher, David Hawkins, in his book Power vs. Force gives an example to help us understand this important concept. He said: “Consciousness is our true power-which helps us open our mind to more self-awareness!”

In other words, our conscious plays the main role in our personal development and growth. We need to be more aware of our consciousness (emotions, believes, intuition and thoughts) as they affect our ability to form our attitudes, our choices and overall our will for life.

In an interview for Global Women Academy, Dr. Ervin Laszlo explained that individuals are living in an energy-rich and information-rich environment. We know that there’s healthy energy and information and junk energy and information. For example, healthy energy includes things like sunlight and fresh air and unhealthy energy includes things like too much electronic time and junk food obsessions. Regarding the information that we have access to, examples include real news that are based on facts and fake news that are not based on facts. Now more than ever there is a need for individuals to become conscious and choose to live consciously by creating their own healthy reality and staying connected with the universe (God).

Dr. Laszlo believes that “we each have something inside, like a GPS which helps us stay in tune with our reality, the cosmic reality. When we stay in tune with our GPS, we stay present and live in alignment with the cosmic reality.” He encourages individuals to preserve their energy and not capitalize on all energy sources. He said to preserve our energy, we must live as natural as possible; be conscious of the sky, stay connected with the nature, enjoying the sunshine, drinking water and taking care of our health. According to him health is really our true purpose, “We must be adopted, we must be tuned, and we have to be strong so, we are evolving into dynamic beings. Working together, as humanity and not divorcing ourselves from the whole dynamic co-evolving system.” (Laszlo, 2020)

Dr. Laszlo encourages us to do more of what we want to do in order to “Meet our responsibilities, satisfy yourself, your family and the people around you…. we only feel whole and happy when we are joined with others together.” He described happiness as a wave of life. He said If you’re happy, you are part of things and if you’re a part of things you can be happy. Being isolated or being detached, being only self-concerned, putting yourself first and never mind the rest, is a recipe for tiredness, fatigue and ultimately illness. To stay happy, he suggests that we become part of the wave of life and live in the flow with the energy like the tree of life and grow together. Pay attention as to how you live, what you live on, and with whom you live.

Dr. Laszlo gives us great wisdom to live a dynamic life, we have to learn to rely on our life energy force, use our energy and our time well, and not waste it. If we are careful with our energy, we can take advantage, regenerate more and more of it. Our life energy is dynamic and not a fixed capital, so he encourages us to use our energy force for good and make the best out of it.

Living a conscious life empowers us to become personal leaders and as a result we become socially responsible. I believe that the best way to consciously tap into the power of the universe and its life-energy is by resolving to stay connected from the inside out, nurturing our body, mind, and soul, nurturing relationships, contributing to the community, and living a dynamic life, doing what you love, which I believe is what we came on earth to do.

Let’s be responsible, make progress towards our life goals by self-managing, learning, growing, succeeding. Let’s use our positive energy to make a positive impact in our lives and the lives of those around us. Let’s not let the “fake information” deceive us from our truth. Let’s learn from people like Dr. Laszlo and Dr. Hawkins who are great example to living consciously.

Both teachers consistently encourage us to live in the flow connected with our power within the wave of life. Their teaching is also closer to the teachings of the Holy book, I believe in their realm of reality as I’m committed to living in the flow, connected from the inside with God (my soul, body and mind) and connected from outside with my family, friends and community.

I promise myself to stay conscious this year and use my time as energy to help me do good work, stay connected with nature, my loved ones and keep my happiness journey alive doing more of what I love which for me it means doing more of what I’m already doing …. continue learning and teaching.
